My first time in London.
After two hasty days I want more!
So, this weekend adventure started Saturday morning at 3 am when my alarm woke me up from my “deadtiredafter5dayshardwork”. The plane was leaving at 7 am.
I have to mention that this was a trip with people from work, organised by our company.
We arrived on time, checked in our bags, got seated and off we went.
Everybody was sleepy and tired and excited… you know the drill.
Those sharing a room didn’t get the keys because their rooms weren’t ready yet, but those of us having a single room; we had it all. Being socially awkward/antisocial/younameit like me; it was great. A whole room to myself. Facing the street, having a double bed, even two duvets :) The others had to share a duvet :D
We were on a tight schedule; some were attending a football game, some were going to see a musical and the rest (me and one colleague) not having any plans but wanting to make most of it.
We were supposed to have a dinner at 7 pm, so we had until that time to do and see what we wanted.
My colleague suggests Camden market. She went there the last time she visited London and thinks it is worth seeing.
So we hit the London streets, get a little lost but finally Camden market is straight ahead. And yes, I loved it. All those strange shops, all that wonderful food… Great. The fashion, the langugages, the smell of the world in one place…everything. It was a great experience, I recommend it if you’re a London virgin like me.
So we walked around, took pictures, got some food, had a beer and headed back to the hotel to get some sleep before the dinner.
We gathered around 6 o’clock and went to a restaurant called Prezzo. The food was manageable, but the dessert was excellent. So after the sweet treat and a coffee we went to a pub (can’t remember the name, too tired for that), had a drink and went home. Everybody was dead tired and we only had Sunday left to explore London.
A quick shower and a dive straight into this fluffy and warm bed off to La la land :)
